Driving Directions
From Seattle: (86 miles—usually about two hours with no traffic)
Take I-5 south about 12.5 miles and exit for I-405 north toward Renton. Stay on I-405 north for 2 miles until the exit for Highway 167 to Auburn. Stay on 167 south for 20 miles. Exit Hwy 167 toward Puyallup on Highway 512, head west. Travel 2.5 miles on 512, take the Highway 161 exit toward Eatonville / South Hill. (Turn left at 31st Ave SW.) Continue on South Meridian / Hwy 161 for 23 miles to the town of Eatonville. At the blinking red light in the center of Eatonville, turn left and continue out of town for 5 miles. When you come to Hwy 7, turn left and travel 10 miles to Elbe. Continue through Elbe, where Hwy 7 will become 706. 706 will take you through the town of Ashford. Turn left at Kernahan Road, 2.3 miles past Ashford and 10.2 miles past Elbe. Follow signs as you make your way up the driveway. You’ll find a parking area to the left of the information booth.

From Tacoma: (53 miles—usually about 90 minutes with no traffic)
Drive south on Hwy 7 for 10 miles, through Spanaway. Turn slightly left onto Pacific Ave S / Hwy 7, continue for 30 miles to the town of Elbe. From Elbe, Hwy 7 becomes Hwy 706, which will take you through the town of Ashford. Turn left at Kernahan Road, 2.3 miles past Ashford and 10.2 miles past Elbe. Follow signs as you make your way up the driveway. You’ll find a parking area to the left of the information booth.

From Portland: (135 miles—should take about 2½ hours, rarely any traffic)
Take I-5 north toward Seattle for 75 miles. Take exit 68 for US-12 toward Yakima / Morton. Travel east 31 miles to the town of Morton. Turn left at 2nd Street, which will become Hwy 7. Drive out of Morton on Hwy 7 17 miles to Elbe. Turn right onto Hwy 706. 706 will take you through the town of Ashford. Turn left at Kernahan Road, 2.3 miles past Ashford and 10.2 miles past Elbe. Follow signs as you make your way up the driveway. You’ll find a parking area to the left of the information booth.

From Olympia: (62 miles—should take about 1½ hours, rarely any traffic)
Take I-5 north toward Seattle six miles to exit 111 for WA-510 E/Marvin Road S toward Yelm. Keep right at the fork and at the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Quinault Dr NE heading to Marvin Rd S/Yelm. Stay on Highway 510 until it becomes WA-702 E/352nd St S/McKenna Tanwax. After 10 miles, Turn right onto WA-7 S/Mountain Hwy E/National Park Hwy. Stay on National Park Hwy for 29 miles. Turn left at Kernahan Road, 2.3 miles past Ashford and 10.2 miles past Elbe. Follow signs as you make your way up the driveway. You’ll find a parking area to the left of the information booth.
